Sandra Carter
Sandra Carter has been a teacher with the DET since 1976. In 2002 she left mainstream high school teaching to complete her M. Spec. Ed (Sensory Disability- Hearing) at Renwick College. In 2003 she was appointed to the Support Unit-Hearing at Strathfield South High School. Sandra has become an active member EDSA in the past few years as Vice President in 2007 and President in 2008

John Davison-Mowle
John Davison-Mowle has been an itinerant teacher for many years and is currently the Assistant Principal Itinerant in the Goulburn area of NSW. He is working on his research for a PhD and this year has become actively involved in EDSA especially in the role of representative to NAATD.
Secretary
Glenda Murray
Glenda Murray is an itinerant teacher in the CEO, Sensory Impairment Program, Archdiocese of Sydney. Glenda completed her initial Teacher of the Deaf training through Melbourne University and has a MSpecEd (Sensory Disability) from Renwick College, University of Newcastle. She has been an active member of EDSA for many years as Vice President and Secretary. Glenda is also very involved as a Rotarian and is a great support to EDSA.
Treasurer
Dr John Paterson
John Paterson is the current treasurer of EDSA. John has been a teacher of the Deaf since 1979. John was formerly the Principal of Garfield Barwick School and the Thomas Pattison School at the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children. He also held the position of Senior Education Officer Hearing Support. John is now Principal of Sir Eric Woodward School and remains passionate about Deaf Education and providing the best educational outcomes for students who are Deaf or hearing impaired.

Robin Birchell
Robin Birchell is a Life Member of the Educators of Deaf Students Association and National Association of Australian Teachers of the Deaf and has held many positions within these associations. She was manager of the Australian Journal of Teachers of the Deaf and has been proactive on committees to organise state, national and international conferences
Robin is the Itinerant Teacher Profound Deafness based at the Children’s Hospital School at Westmead where she works as the educational consultant in a multidisciplinary team in the Deafness Centre, Children’s Hospital Westmead. Robin is the EDSA representative on the National Committee of NAATD.
